The south facing courtyard is the oldest wing of the property, dated back in the early days of 18th century, and a focal point of ground floor living areas, being accessible both from main kitchen and dining gallery. Sheltered from the north winds and brightened by the sun all day long, it was literarily designed around the wood oven, "Cuore Caldo" (warmest heart) of Casafredda.
